Security

When you choose Profile 22 windows, doors and conservatories from Epwin Window Systems you can be sure you are choosing products that feature outstanding security measures that will protect you and your loved ones.

Profile 22 windows, doors and conservatories meet government security requirements as standard. You can also choose to upgrade to products that have achieved Secured by Design status – an initiative from the UK Police that recognises products that offer outstanding security features.

Profile 22 windows, doors and conservatories use the very latest in high-security hardware, advanced multipoint locks, keeps and key-locking handles. They also have a wealth of intelligent features that enhance security. For example, the frames feature a central eurogroove which gives them greater strength so they are less susceptible to manual attack. The bead system that holds the glazing in place is exceptionally secure. The areas around locks and handles are extra-strong so the hardware stays firmly in place and delivers long-lasting security. Because all these features are standard, you can have complete peace of mind when you choose Profile 22 windows, doors and conservatories.

Energy Efficiency

Profile 22 UPVC windows, doors and conservatories from Epwin Window Systems meet all government requirements for energy efficiency as standard. There is also a wealth of options to take your windows, doors or conservatory to the highest standards of energy efficiency available.

The energy efficiency of a window is shown in its Window Energy Rating. It is a single letter from A++ to E that measures a window’s overall energy performance. The energy efficiency rating is shown on a ‘rainbow’ label similar to the ones found on fridges, freezers and washing machines.

UK Building Regulations state that new windows must have a minimum Window Energy Rating of C. When you choose Profile 22 windows, doors or a conservatory from Epwin Window Systems you will be choosing products that meet these requirements as standard.

Because your windows, doors or conservatory will be made to order for your home, you will also have the option to enhance the energy efficiency to the highest of levels.

As an Epwin Window Systems holds the VinylPlus® Product Label. The labelling scheme makes it easy for you to identify the most sustainable and high-performance PVC products. Epwin Window Systems was one of the first businesses to achieve certification and it reflects the strength of our commitment to the environment.

We manufacture in a sustainable way. Our manufacturing facilities are in the UK and we only supply UK homes, helping to reduce transport emissions. Our manufacturing processes are accredited to ISO 14001 Environmental Management.

Our products are all designed to maximise energy efficiency, so you will benefit from a warmer home and lower heating bills, as well as reducing your carbon footprint. We are always looking for ways to improve the energy efficiency of our products. For example, we use 100% recycled reinforcement material in our products, which provides greater thermal insulation to windows and doors, improving U-values and energy ratings.

Our windows and doors can last for more than forty years. At the end of their life they are recyclable up to ten times.

It means that when you choose Epwin Window systems products for your home, you are choosing products that have been designed with sustainability in mind.
