Our guide to buying windows, doors and conservatories

We want to make sure that you only commit to replacement windows or doors when you feel like you’ve made the right decision and found the perfect product. We don’t believe in hard-sell or applying pressure to customers to choose our products. The most important thing you need to remember is that you’re always in control and you’ll only make a commitment when you’re sure. 

We’ve put together a short guide to explain the motion of purchasing new windows or doors. We have simplified the process as much as possible to ensure it is easy to follow and at all times has you in the driving seat.

  1. Get in touch with a member of our team to discuss your project. You can phone us on 01952 290910 of fill in the contact form and we’ll get back to you. We’ll spend time finding out more about what you’re interested in, and, if you think it would be beneficial, we’ll arrange for one of our Authorised Installers to visit you at your property at a time that is convenient for you. 
  2. When our Authorised Installer visits your property, they will bring with them a range of product samples and brochures so that you can learn more about our product offering. You will be able to identify what works best for your home and which products you prefer. The Authorised Installer will supply you with a bespoke quotation for your project, completely free of charge. You are under no obligation whatsoever to take things further and are welcome to take some thinking time ahead of making any decisions regarding your project. 
  3. If you decide to go ahead, the Authorised Installer will arrange to carry out a detailed survey at your property. They will take accurate measurements of the area and assess the need for any special equipment such as scaffolding. Any issues with access or your property that they’ll need to be aware of will be highlighted at this stage and an installation plan will be drawn up. The installer will go through all the details of the order again with you, and if you’re happy to proceed, they will order the windows, doors or conservatory from the manufacturers.
  4. Manufacturing doesn’t take that long. All aspects of the creation of your new products is completed within the UK by Profile 22 experts. Every item is quality checked before it leaves site, making sure only the best quality products will be used within your installation.
  5. Your Authorised Installer will arrange a fitting date, again at your convenience, and will be able to tell you how long the work will take. Installers are trained craftsmen and will take care to respect your home and clean up after themselves. They’ll also take away your old windows or doors for recycling.
  6. The Authorised Installer will check that you are completely satisfied, and ensure you have all the guarantee and aftercare information you need. They’ll give you an invoice for the work done, to be paid in accordance with the agreement you’ve made with them in advance of the installation.
